1. DALI ILLUSION
Profile of Salvador Dali and a strange woman.
If you like this type then be sure to check many more face illusions.
2. RABBIT VS DUCK
Can you find both? Rabbit is looking to the right and duck to the left (Anonymous, inspired by Joseph Jastrow).
You may also visit an amazing collection of animal illusions.
3. SPINNING SILHOUETTE DANCER
This is a bistable illusion where you can see movement both clockwise and counterclockwise. It is NOT a test to determine which hemisphere is dominant (by Nobuyuki Kayahara).
More multistable objects.
4. CRAWLING SNAKES
Fantastic static image by Akiyoshi Kitaoka.
If you already feel dizzy, then you should not see more moving illusions :-)
5. DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HIDE SCARY ILLUSION
You probably see angry face on the left and calm face on the right. Now step away from your computer screen. You should see the two faces swap over! This hybrid image was created by Phillippe G. Schyns and Aude Oliva of the University of Glasgow. It proves that we may not be seeing what's actually there, all the time.
Be shocked by more scary illusions.
6. BEAUTIFUL GIRL AFTERIMAGE
Stare at the red dot on the girl's nose for 30 seconds. Then look at the ceiling (or any white surface) and blink really quickly a few times. You will be amazed to see a colorful girl.
If this example was not enough, then have a look at more afterimages.
7. IDENTICAL COLORS
Surface color of both A and B parts is identical. Just use a finger to cover the place where both parts meet and you'll see.
More unbelievable color illusions are definitely worth visiting.
8. PONZO ILLUSION
Both green lines have the same length. This Ponzo illusion uses the fact that human brain interpretes the image with perspective, however, it's just a simple 2D image.
Our prior experience with perspective simply lies to us with similar 2D pictures as you can see in the following size illusions.
9. ART ILLUSION
The Terrace (by David MacDonald)
There are a few more 3D pavement drawings, paintings and other art illusions.
